Rajesh Khoiwal, National President of Human service committee, has sent a petition via Gmail to the Ministry of External Affairs to stop the execution of Indian woman

(rajsthan TV news)
Rajesh Khoiwal, National President of Human service committee India, has sent a petition via Gmail to the Ministry of External Affairs to stop the execution of Indian woman Nimisha Priya in Yemen. Nimisha Priya, a nurse from Kerala's Palakkad district, has been sentenced to death for murdering a Yemeni citizen in 2017.

According to Rajesh Khoiwal, Nimisha Priya went to Yemen in 2011 as a nurse and started a clinic with a Yemeni citizen, Talal Abdo Mahdi. However, Mahdi allegedly exploited and tortured her, confiscating her passport and documents. Nimisha administered anesthesia to Mahdi to retrieve her passport, which led to his death.

The petition requests the Indian government to intervene diplomatically and explore options like "blood money" (compensation to the victim's family) to save Nimisha's life. Nimisha's mother, Premkumari, has even traveled to Yemen to plead for her daughter's mercy.

Human rights organizations and citizens are appealing to the Indian government to intervene internationally. With the execution date set for July 16, Nimisha is now waiting for any last-minute reprieve. Indian social organizations are closely monitoring the case and attempting to provide all possible assistance.
